There is the difference between someone that needs intensity to sustain personal drive and someone that just has it because it’s in them to give. Intensity supports your energy, focus, and tenacity for sure – but applied over a long period of time, it’s draining and creates tension in your mind, and all parts of you that should otherwise be relaxed. But so many of us have been taught to work this way because we think it’s the only way to ensure that we give it our everything. Connecting to what drives you, brings up your passion for what you need to do without the overwhelming surge that leaves you burnt out. This will be your motivation without a need to exist intensely. It might actually leave you feeling like your intense about it, and to others it might look that way from the outside – but really at that point, you’ve found pure focus, but you’re relaxed and nothing else matters.
